監察及研究有關《聯合聲明》及《基本法》的實施、香港特別行政區政府與中央人民政府和其他內地政府部門間的關係、選舉事務、區域組織、人權、保障個人資料及新聞自由的政府政策及公眾關注的事項。

 

To monitor and examine Government policies and issues of public concern relating to the implementation of the Joint Declaration and the Basic Law, relations between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Central People's Government and other Mainland authorities, electoral matters, district organizations, human rights, personal data protection, and press freedom.
